Until September 22, 2019 in Bologna there is the European Mobility Week, the European initiative that promotes sustainable mobility every year!
This year the main theme will be “Active mobility: walking and cycling in Bologna” and every day will be dedicated to a specific topic involving various sectors and following a common thread, the safety of walking and cycling in the city and benefits for health, the environment and cost savings.
There is also talk of road safety with a conference dedicated to the topic and much more.
The program will culminate on Saturday 21 September with the traditional Mobility Village event in Piazza Maggiore, where you can learn about the new sustainable mobility projects of institutions, companies and associations, participate in a bicycle auction and take advantage of a repair service. bike marking, experimenting with the “intoxication path” on the consequences of alcohol abuse and, for the little ones, take the prudent cyclist’s license by participating in the “Ride safely” course, and much more.
From 17.00 onwards the protagonists will be the arcades of Bologna, to which two conferences will be dedicated to the presentation of the Unesco candidacy and a walk “along the history”.
There will be other guided tours to discover the city and the hill through the voices of those who live there, with neighborhood walks on 20 and 21 September; on the final day of Sunday, September 22, we will travel around the districts by bicycle, discover Bologna and its arcades under the sign of “slow tourism” and explore the accessible paths of Bologna.
