In the splendid setting of Piazza Maggiore, the maxi screen installed for the screenings of the “Ritrovato Cinema” and immediately after the summer review “Sotto le stelle del cinema” is ready to go.
A month of great films that connects to the popular tradition of outdoor projection, taking up the summer evenings in Bologna. Visions en plein-air, therefore, strictly “under the stars of the cinema”, as the title and slogan of the historical festival edited by the Film Archive reads.
The first event is scheduled for June 22nd to June 30th and concerns the restoration of films that have made history, including ‘Easy rider’ by Dennis Hopper (with Peter Fonda in person in Bologna) and ‘Apocalypse now ‘by Francis Ford Coppola and our classic classics’ Miracolo a Milano’, by Vittorio de Sica, and ‘Roma’ by Federico Fellini, also ‘Los olvidados’, signed by a master of surrealism like Luis Bunuel.
Soon after, a whole summer of films that will be staged under the stars.
