“Bologna is an old lady with a slightly soft hip with her breasts on the Po piano and her ass on the hills” sang the teacher Francesco Guccini …

And it is the hills that we are talking about, a real show that decorates Bologna, a place that allows you to switch off from the chaos of the city.

In this locus amoenus there are the 300 steps, a place famous for the Bolognese, in Via di Casaglia at number 37. The green comes off the city and its noises to wrap everyone in an oasis of peace and tranquility.

Going up you reach the top of a hill with a view of the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, in the middle of the San Pellegrino Park.

Here the Teatro dei Mignoli has taken root for about two years and is working to recover this abandoned space so that it can become usable by anyone, where theater and art meet with nature and agriculture. A place of “Culture and Crops” but above all community.

To admire the fantastic panorama it is advisable to reach the place on foot and taking the path 914.

There are two possible routes: the first part from the end of via Meloncello and slowly adjoins a private property that allows you to reach the space in about half an hour of quiet walking. Otherwise you enter Villa Spada where there is a beautiful Italian garden but which has a stretch of asphalt road from the so-called “curvone” where the path leaves after skirting the monument to the partisan falls.

The path recovers after a hundred meters going up the steep staircase to a column with Madonnina. Both options are around 30 minutes. For the return we recommend the descent through the 300 steps and the asphalt road of Via Casaglia (attention to the steps in case of rain could be very slippery), passable through two steps.

Another option is to tackle the bike route. A strong climb but a few bends and you have arrived. Just take Via di Casaglia at the corner of via Saragossa and not wrong, in Via di Casaglia 37, connect the bike and walk up the 300 steps. The place can also be reached by car. Parking is available for a limited number of internal cars in Via di Casaglia, 37.

It is worth visiting, whether in company or alone, to enjoy the panorama it offers and to immerse yourself totally in nature.
