The magical crib of Via Azzurra
At 10 Via Azzurra, in the Massarenti area, the magic of Christmas returns thanks to the passion of those who really love this holiday. The crib, which is private, is visible from the street and when the owners give the availability it is possible to see it up close by accessing the garden. Until January 2020.
XXVII Review of the Nativity in San Giovanni in Monte
Until January 12th 2020 at the church of San Giovanni in Monte (via Santo Stefano-Bologna) a review of over 35 cribs made with the most varied styles and materials, from all over the province of Bologna and even beyond the regional borders.
The visitor can vote for the crib he prefers. The exhibition is open every day from 9am to 12pm and 3pm to 7pm. (Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity 348 4017313)
Masterpieces of the 18th century Neapolitan Nativity from the Bordoni Collection
Until Sunday 19 January 2020 at the Davia Bargellini Museum an exhibition dedicated to the traditional nativity scene, in collaboration with the Study Center for Popular Culture.
This year the exhibition presents to the public for the first time some extraordinary pieces, real masterpieces of the Neapolitan crib art of the eighteenth century, coming from the famous Bordoni Collection, composed of over one hundred and more characters from the Naples of the first Bourbons (two hundred and more if you also calculate the animals that surround you, from dromedaries, donkeys, horses, cows, goats to chickens, which the skilful hand of expert set designers has deployed everywhere.
