From 3 September Tuesday is the new closing day.
In fact, it changes the traditional weekly closing day that starts on Tuesday from Monday.
An experimentation that the Bologna Museums Institution puts at the service of citizens and visitors coming from outside Bologna.
It will be the Civic Archaeological Museum which will undertake the change of time on an experimental basis:
Monday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Tuesday CLOSED
Wednesday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Thursday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday 10:00 to 18:30
In addition, as the indoor works are still ongoing and access to the first floor is not permitted, the admission ticket to the Museum is reduced to 3 euros.
The lapidarium in the atrium and courtyard and the Egyptian collection in the basement can be visited.
Sunday, September 2 admission is free as the first Sunday of the month.

How to get
The Museum is in the historic center, with access from the portico of the Pavaglione, which runs along Piazza Maggiore and the church of San Petronio.
By bus: all the bus lines that stop near Piazza Maggiore
By car: located in a Limited Traffic Zone. Nearest ring road exits n. 11 / 11bis-12, direction center. Closest paying parking: Piazza VIII Agosto (10 minutes walk) and Staveco parking (15 minutes on foot).
On foot: from the railway station FF.SS. and from the bus station reach Via dell’Indipendenza up to Piazza Maggiore, and from here go left under the portico of the Pavaglione, where is the entrance to the Museum (about 1.5 km).
From the airport: BLQ shuttle, via independence-San Pietro stop.
