The exhibition The Force of Beauty. Cardinal Giacomo Lercaro through the works of his art collection, until 29 May 2022 at the Lercaro Collection.
Set up on the first floor of the Lercaro Collection, the exhibition retraces the major themes tackled by Cardinal Giacomo Lercaro during the exercise of his ministry and does so through some works from his art collection.
The first section is dedicated to the season of the Second Vatican Council and the climate of renewal is also reflected in the artistic field.
The second section is devoted to the themes of the creativity of work and emigration.
The third section focuses on charity and develops the theme of the different and the distant, but always a child of God.
The exhibition concludes with a series of photographs of the Cardinal that capture significant moments of his personal life.
The exhibition is curated by Ilaria Chia, Francesca Passerini and Claudio Calari.
