The cycle of meetings to make a musical business starts again on October 24th.
Back for five Wednesday from October to December, “The Music Market”, the cycle of appointments organized at the Music Museum by the newborn Music Office of the City of Bologna, in collaboration with Bologna Welcome and aimed at young musicians and operators who want to make music is a real profession, developing musical entrepreneurship and strengthening its managerial and managerial skills.
The events that took place exceptionally in Cappella Farnese, Wednesday 10 October, as part of the days dedicated to creativity and business organized during “Energie Diffuse”, resume on Wednesday 24 October with Raffaella Pellegrino, a lawyer specializing in copyright and intellectual property right, which will address the delicate issue of copyright, touching on topics such as contracts, the relationship with the SIAE, and all the innovations introduced by the European Union for the protection and recognition of authors’ rights. On November 14 Taketo Gohara, considered one of the best Italian musical producers, will accompany the participants in the world of sound and production, explaining, even by listening to some musical tracks, how important is the sonic appearance of a piece. Still, December 5 will be the time of the music business: Pierfrancesco Pacoda, together with Luca Stante, Ceo of Believe Digital, will illustrate all the nodes of the distribution and how the advent of digital can facilitate artists unrelated to the mainstream, while in the meeting Concluding on December 12th, Pierfrancesco Pacoda will present an overview of the communication strategies of the festivals, making use of the contribution of Georgia Taglietti, communication manager of the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, one of the most exclusive and significant on the international scene.
The entire journey is led by Pierfrancesco Pacoda, music critic who is an expert in the recording industry and will be supported by consultants and professionals in the sector. A journey and a guide within the music market, through the understanding of the professional figures that inhabit such a complex environment and the indispensable activities to create and manage a project. The project has, in fact, the intent to offer the strategic knowledge for the start of a professional activity in music, offering an overview on how to manage a recording project in all its phases, from production to distribution, from legal aspects to promotion up to the placing on the market.
