The Kennedy Years is a nostalgic, emotional journey that lining in black and white or with pastel shades haute couture the iconography of the protagonists of this story, extraordinary interpreters of their time, a photographic exhibition full of suggestions, between politics and customs.
In the rooms of Palazzo Belloni the story unfolds, through unforgettable fragments, of the American dream, testimonies of a shining epoch entrusted to the eloquence of two hundred photographs – partly unpublished – from the Kennedy archives, along a path curated by Frédéric Lecomte- Dieu, biographer of the clan. In the spotlight, power and grace, documented in a context dominated by political and social transformations, highlighted by the advent of television: scenes of public and private life, from cold war to space missions, from diplomatic victories to the moon landing , Loves, scandals, tragedies, burst into homes, starting the era of the globalized image.
The exhibition will be enriched by the exhibition of some objects, kept in the JFK museum in Boston, which marked the history of the Kennedy, among which stand out the Jacqueline wedding dress and the President’s original rocking chair.
