From October 19th to 27th 2019, the XVI edition of the “International History Festival” is held in Bologna.
The national and international event is promoted by the DiPaSt of the Alma Mater Studiorum of the University of Bologna which makes the city “capital of history” by displaying forms of promotion and dissemination of its knowledge conducted in Italy and in the world.
The Feast of History has taken as its starting point a series of previous initiatives, including that of Passamano for San Luca, still together for that portico inspired by the long human chain that allowed in 1677 to transport the materials necessary for the construction of the large portico and the basilica of San Luca.
The common goal is to find in the History useful knowledge to live the present and to plan the future in harmony and in respect of the different identities and the immense inherited heritage and through the concordant activation of the components of the cultural, social, economic fabric of the city and of the territory.
