A project that has the ambition to make known to a vast public the works that adorn the vaults, the domes and ceilings of our most beautiful buildings and monuments, making it more accessible, thanks to the photographic means and the versatility of new technologies, that which has been above our eyes for centuries. An evocative thematic virtual museum full of images, information and curiosities about this aspect of art so important and little known.
How many times have we stopped to admire in a historic building, a basilica, a villa, the wonderful works that adorn the walls. Works of art that the whole world envies us and that tell our story, our origins and draw the style that made Italy the world capital of art. Often something escapes our gaze, perhaps because it is not on our usual horizon, it leaves our field of vision, far and uncomfortable to see, yet there is the highest expression of art and architecture. These are the vaults, the domes, the ceilings that contain secrets of incomparable value. Frescoes, mosaics, sculptures and stuccos that risk going unnoticed, because far away, from the point of view from which we normally look at things “. The exhibition is born from the original idea of Giuseppe Porisini, to know the artistic and territorial beauties, studying, photographing and developing the knowledge of frescoed ceilings and domes of historic buildings and churches but also of particular design and architectural solutions that also become they work art motu proprio.
Voltecupolesoffitti.it represents an integrated system focused and dedicated to the realities that operate in a direct and indirect way in the conservation, enhancement and use of cultural heritage. These realities are linked to an idea of sustainable development that through the use of advanced technologies, make the project completely innovative. Usability of the territory that, as a whole, is intended as an “outdoor” path rather than “closed” within the walls of a museum. An initiative that starts from an evocative virtual thematic museum up to exhibitions, events, workshops for the recovery and enhancement of popular culture and traditions, publishing publications, social and web pages, characterized by information and curiosity about this aspect of the art so important and little known.
Attached to the exhibition is a rich program of events: installations that are the result of intercultural workshops, guided tours, concerts and Event Food.
