The exhibition constitutes the fifth and last appointment of the cycle of exhibition focuses called RE-COLLECTING, conceived by Lorenzo Balbi to explore themes linked to the permanent collections of MAMbo and the Museo Morandi by investigating particular aspects and highlighting works that are usually not visible or have not been exhibited for some time.
The exhibition, curated by Lorenza Selleri, focuses on the etching technique, of which Giorgio Morandi was a master.
Alongside these works, visitors will be able to see the tools needed to make an etching, a number of sheets belonging to private collections loaned free of charge to the museum in more or less recent times, and the print of the only plate, known to date, that Morandi engraved using the soft wax technique.
