The cinema in Piazza Maggiore has accustomed us to the vision of movie stars in fact and of those that in the sky are the frame.

But the appointment scheduled for 7 July surpasses all surprises, bringing one of the greatest stars of international cinema, the American director Oliver Stone, to the streets.

The director will make his appearance on stage, on the occasion of the presentation of the film “The Doors”, which was restored by the Cineteca di Bologna.

For Stone this film represents a lot in his career, as Jim Morrison, character on which the film is based, is “a Dionysian cultural figure, an icon, a poet, a formidable poet”.

As an anticipation to pay homage to the director the night before, that is July 6th, another film success of his, Wall Street, will be staged.
