They almost reached 900,000 passengers at the Bologna airport in September.
There were 893,838, with an increase of almost 25% compared to the same month of 2018 (when, however, Marconi was closed 4 days for the remaking of part of the track: net of the closure, it is estimated that the increase in passengers in September was almost 7%).
Passengers in particular on international flights are growing (over 718 thousand, + 29.8%). Air movements were up by 20.6%, at 6,702, while goods transported by air recorded a 4.9% decrease on the previous year, for a total of 2,973 tons.
The three most popular destinations in September 2019 were: Barcelona, with 38,000 passengers, Catania (over 36,000 passengers) and Frankfurt (30,000 passengers).
In the first nine months of 2019, Marconi’s total passengers were almost 7 million and 200 thousand, exactly 7,168,656, for an annual growth of 11.4%. Air movements increased by 9.3% (55,485) while goods decreased (28,324 tons, -4.4%).
