There were 8,5 million passengers in 2018 at the Marconi airport in Bologna, a 3.8% increase over the previous year.
Passengers on international flights exceeded 6.5 million, marking an increase of 4.4%, while those on domestic flights amounted to almost 2 million (1 million 975 thousand to be exact, + 1.8%).
For Marconi, this is the tenth consecutive year of growth in the number of passengers; the record was hit on 19 August, one Sunday, with 32.195 people involved in arrivals and departures, in December + 7.8% increase (with 646 thousand passengers).
The three favorite destinations in 2018 were London, with over 620 thousand passengers (considering the total airports of Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted), Paris, with over 400 thousand passengers (between Charles De Gaulle and Beauvais airports) and Catania ( 396 thousand passengers).
Among the top ten destinations Barcelona, Frankfurt, Rome Fiumicino, Palermo, Madrid, Amsterdam and Monaco.
