Marco Marchesini, born in 1942, is a sculptor and popular author of medals and commemorative plaques that he has been making since the 1970s.
The idea for the exhibition came about during a walk through the monumental cemetery between the sculptor and Roberto Martorelli.
On this occasion Marchesini retraced his artistic career and his attraction to the expressive multiplicity of sculpture.
Each work has its own story and Marchesini has tried to tell some of them for us.
The exhibition includes works from the 1960s to the present day, covering all the artist’s interests. Monumental sculpture, small works in bronze and terracotta, etchings and medals.
