This year the exhibition, promoted by IBC, also includes an exhibition entitled “Tessere Giardini”, a journey through some pieces of “floral” inspiration (fabrics, upholstery, dresses) from the historical textile collection of the “V” Textile Museum. Zironi “of Bologna, located in the eighteenth-century Villa Spada (via di Casaglia 3).
The villa is surrounded by a park and a wonderful Italian garden that will be the subject of guided tours during the festival.
But there are dozens of green areas involved: from the Labirinto della Masone garden to Fontanellato, the Mauriziano park in Reggio Emilia, linked to the Ariosto name, the historic gardens of Villa La Babina in Imola and Villa Fantini in Tredozio, many gardens of the castles of the former Duchy of Parma and Piacenza, the gardens along the Romagna Riviera. Also present are the botanical gardens, in particular the University of Bologna, one of the oldest in Europe, with visits and insights.
Public gardens, private gardens open to the public, historic gardens, parks, gardens and botanical gardens, green urban areas, gardens of villas or castles, and even green corners within museums are involved.
In general we will talk about large trees and nature “to live” according to the most disparate ways: guided tours of the gardens, of course, but also workshops, conferences “on the field”, sensory paths, practical lessons, “treewatching”, meetings with the gardens take care of them and protect them by trade, educational workshops for children, and much more.
Among the many initiatives the IBC on Sunday 23 September proposes an original TREE-Trekking with the choir to discover the monumental trees of Italy in the center of Bologna enlivened by some chorales of the territory.
