From October 21 to 29, BolognaFiere will be the setting for the International Boat Show, now in its fourth edition. The event, organized by Snidi srl (Saloni Nautici Internazionali D’Italia) in collaboration with BolognaFiere, aims to promote the entire production chain of small and medium-sized pleasure boating, thus helping to consolidate the Made in Italy nautical sector.
Despite the lack of direct access to the sea under the Two Towers, the Boat Show will see the participation of more than 60 exhibitors, representing about 180 brands, in Pavilions 19 and 14. Yachts, inflatable boats, motor boats and a wide range of boating accessories will be on display.
Gianpiero Calzolari, president of BolognaFiere, stresses the intuition of singling out Bologna as the venue for the event, based on the presence of a significant economic dimension and interest in the trade show business. Tickets cost between 10 and 12 euros, but admission is free for children under eight and school groups.
Snidi president Gennaro Amato anticipates a special synergy with the Auto e Moto d’Epoca fair in this edition and confirms the commitment to Bologna for the next six years. Previous editions have been very successful both in terms of sales and the number of interested visitors.
Bologna Mayor Matteo Lepore highlights the importance of Emilia-Romagna in the boating industry, which includes engines and various components. Naples emerges as a crucial hub of the sector in the country, emphasizing the need for specialized training and skills. Collaboration between the two cities is also proving fruitful in terms of innovation, as highlighted by Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi.
A central theme of the shared projects is the knowledge and protection of the sea as a valuable resource for the country. Maritime safety and professional training, aimed at both professionals and citizens, emerge as key pillars for preserving this vital resource.
