Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2019 the Bologna Museums Institution promotes its first Open Day open to the public.
Two days to enhance the educational and social dimension of civic museums through free use of free permanent collections, temporary exhibitions and diversified educational activities for all ages.
During the weekend, the civic museum venues invite the public with the Open Day formula which includes free use of the permanent collections, which also includes restored works never exhibited before, and temporary exhibitions.
A free participation is also the wide schedule of educational activities and cultural mediation diversified for various audiences (adults, families, children) that follow one another for the entire opening hours.
Even in the two days of Open Day visitors find an urn in which to leave a free contribution in exchange for receiving a pin with an image linked to the museum they are about to visit. A small gesture to stimulate people to experience museums as places to frequent and to help make art accessible to everyone.
The Open Day initiative is organized in conjunction with the restart of the calendar of the first Sundays of the month with free admission for the permanent collections of the Bologna Museums Institution which, according to the latest provisions approved in terms of tariff plan, will remain in force until March 2020.
