The exhibition ‘Glass from the Renaissance to the Nineteenth Century – The Cappagli-Serretti Donation for the Ancient Art Civic Museums of Bologna’ will be held at the Museo Civico Medievale until 25 September.
To celebrate the important donation of the precious Cappagli Serretti collection (117 pieces of glass), the Musei Civici d’Arte Antica of Bologna, in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici of Venice, and in particular with the Museo del Vetro of Murano, are organising an exhibition curated by Mark Gregory D’Apuzzo, Massimo Medica and Mauro Stocco.
The exhibition allows us to broaden our gaze far beyond Italian horizons to get to know, for example, the English and Spanish glassmaking world of the 18th century or the colourful Bohemian production of the 19th century.
