The Musei Civici d’Arte Antica of the Settore Musei Civici Bologna are pleased to present Contatti indicibili, a two-person exhibition by Giovanna Caimmi and Giulia Dall’Olio curated by Maria Chiara Wang, on show from 27 January to 3 March 2024, organised as part of the twelfth edition of ART CITY Bologna.
The exhibition project was born as a manifesto for a return to perception, to the rediscovery of that combination of sensoriality, sensitivity and instinctiveness as fundamental elements for establishing a dialogue with the work.
Giovanna Caimmi’s works dialogue with those of Giulia Dall’Olio and with the surrounding environment through the narration of an uncontaminated, lush, at times romantic nature, a nature that over the centuries has often been the custodian of those relics of past eras that have re-emerged over time and are preserved in the museum rooms.
On the occasion of ART CITY White Night, on Saturday 3 February from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Giovanna Caimmi and Giulia Dall’Olio will give life to a live drawing, an event during which the public will be able to witness the process of creating the work live. The artists will each create a new drawing that will complete the exhibition. Free entrance from 6 p.m.
