Michele Chimienti, a retired doctor with a passion for craftsmanship, has also set up in the garden of his house, in via Azzurra 10, the increasingly rich and amazing animated crib that attracts visitors every year, with a whole city of figures that climbs up the steps of the house and illuminates the night with a blaze of colored lights.
The brand-new statuettes, all the work of the master’s hands, portray an elderly pipe smoker, a hunter who stretches the string of his bow, a cheese-maker and a flower girl and are inserted in a plastic that now counts several hundred figures, in addition to a setting in which the plants of the garden are mixed with houses, shops, streams and mountains, with the manger in the center, as usual.
To immerse yourself in this little Galilee for free, just jump into Via Azzurra and cross with the children in tow, the gate of the street number 10, open morning, afternoon and evening consistent with the presence of Dr. Chimienti and his family. If the gate is closed, however, everything will remain within sight until the day of the Epiphany, since even among the bars of the gate, the crib loses nothing of its charm.
