CERSAIE, the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings, is one of the most important events involving Italian and foreign companies.
The fair is spread over an exhibition area of 161,000 square meters, which hosts 869 companies from 40 countries around the world. There are 338 foreign companies participating in the fair. Just over half – 454 exhibitors – refer only to the ceramic tile sector. There are 205 companies representing the bathroom furniture sector. The large turnout at the event is a symptom of Italy’s position as a world leader in the ceramics sector. In fact the export value of these made in Italy products is equal to 85%, with a turnover of over 4 billion euros.
Among the novelties of the 37th edition, there is the Open Cersaie, a new idea of exposure based on contamination. The program of architectural meetings: Building Abitare Thinking (held by the Chilean architect Felipe Assadi), missions of foreign designers of Cersaie Business, the design and lifestyle meetings of Café della Stampa, practical and theoretical demonstrations of the City of Pose, the thematic exhibitions that describe the Italian Style, the meetings with the final consumers for the redevelopment of the Cersaie spaces Design your House.
Among the events not to be missed, there are the architects Dominique Jakob and Brendan MacFarlane who will meet the public on September 26th at 10 am.
The famous “inverted lesson” will be held by the director Francesca Molteni (27/09, 10 am).
