Among those that give wide space to art, Bologna stands out as one of the richest cities in the history of art and among the most active in giving space to the works of great painters.
Precisely for this reason, at Palazzo Pallavicini from 12 October 2019 to 12 January 2020, the exhibition on Botero, one of the largest in the world art scene, will be staged.
Colombian painter capable, as he himself declared, of “never having painted anything different from the world as he knew it in Medellín”. According to this great artist, painting must be understood as an inner necessity, a need that leads to an uninterrupted exploration towards the ideal framework.
His unique style will be repeated here in Italy, a country that has influenced him artistically in his youth.
During the exhibition, fifty unique works never before seen in the Emilian capital will be proposed, including a series of drawings made with mixed media and a fine set of color watercolors on canvas.
It is possible to visit the exhibition from Thursday to Sunday from 11.00 am to 8.00 pm; there will also be special openings on 1 and 2 November, 8, 23, 26, 30 December, 31 December 2019 (from 11.00 to 17.00) and on 1, 6, 7, 8 January 2020. It will not be available on the dates 17 and 18 October, 24 and 25 December 2019.
