The first major cycle of frescoes by Annibale, Agostino and Ludovico Carracci can be observed.
Until the end of July, on the occasion of the reopening of the main floor of Palazzo Fava, there will be guided tours to the first major cycle of frescoes by Annibale, Agostino and Ludovico Carracci.
From the mythological figure of Jason, with the frescoes that the art historian Roberto Longhi called «inferior only to the Sistine Chapel», to the stories drawn from the Aeneid, the visits will give the opportunity to know the importance of Carracci as well as of the Fava family of patrons who played a fundamental role in the history and artistic development of Bologna.
At the end of each tour a surprise visit to another important place for the history of Carracci.
The dates: 21, 22, 28 and 29 July.
Appointment from 11:00.
