Gianluca Guidi, Andrea Ferrario, Barbara Cola, Guglielmo Pagnozzi and Francesco Cavestri are among the protagonists of the concerts on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September 2023 in Piazza Maggiore: a weekend of great swing and joy, all with free admission, for the 13th edition of Bologna, the Jazz Road.
Among the many Italian festivals, the Strada del Jazz has a unique feature: the laying of marble stars on the central Via Orefici/Caprarie dedicated to the great performers who played in the city during the golden years of Alberto Alberti’s Bologna Jazz Festival. Bologna was then called the ‘European capital of jazz’.
This year the Jazz Star is dedicated to Bill Evans (Plainfield, 16 August 1929 – New York, 15 September 1980) American pianist and composer.
