Walks, guided tours, meetings, musical and theatrical events that will enliven the city cemetery and more.
On the occasion of the All Saints Day and the Commemoration of the Dead, the Bologna Museums Institution | Civic Museum of the Risorgimento and Bologna Servizi Cimiteriali offer a rich program of events that from October 27th to December 1st 2019 will take place mainly at the Certosa Cemetery, thanks to the collaboration with different cultural, religious and associative realities of the city.
A special focus is dedicated to Arrigo Armieri (Bologna, 1931), one of the sculptors who most decisively marked the face of the Monumental Cemetery in recent decades with the creation of memorials of significant value for expressive quality and material sensibility, on the occasion of the exhibition personal Arrigo Armieri between sacred and profane. From the Certosa to the sculptor’s atelier that opens at the Civic Museum of the Risorgimento on Sunday 3rd November at 11.00 am
Also this year, on the occasion of the festivities of All Saints and the Commemoration of the Dead, the Civic Museum of the Risorgimento and Bologna Servizi Cimiteriali guarantee the extraordinary opening of the historic artistic Info Point at the Certosa, thanks to the commitment of the Association’s volunteers Amici della Certosa as well as the museum staff.
From Saturday 26 October to Sunday 10 November the space will be available to the public every day at the following times: 9.00 am – 12.00 am and 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm.

Ancient frescoes of a forgotten museum
Discover the Bolognese painting from the Middle Ages to the modern age through paintings and frescoes by the Certosa. A crossroads of knowledge between history, restoration and artistic techniques: because the cemetery was the first modern “museum” in Bologna.

Carlo Maver presents Eremi Urbani | Strange Meetings
