900 thousand passengers only in August, more than 6 million in the first eight months of the year, and here the Bologna Marconi Airport takes off!
Numbers on the increase compared to 2018 as regards passengers on international flights (over 700 thousand), while those on domestic flights were over 170 thousand, a slight decrease compared to the previous year.
The favorite destinations of August 2019 were: Barcelona, with 37 thousand passengers, Catania (over 35 thousand passengers) and London Heathrow (almost 32 thousand passengers).
Among the top ten destinations we also find: Frankfurt, London Stansted, Palermo, Madrid, Rome Fiumicino, Paris CDG and Istanbul.

Bologna Airport is classified as a “strategic airport” in the Central-Northern area in the National Airport Plan prepared by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, today it is the eighth largest Italian airport by number of passengers, with 8.5 million passengers in 2018, of which 77% on international flights.
