From December 7 to January 13, 2019 at Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande – Hall of Honor – the exhibition “13 years and a century. Fabbri Award “.
The Fabbri Prize for art, conceived for the company’s centenary, is a triennial event which since 2005 has been attended by internationally renowned artists who have created works using various techniques and means of expression.
The link with art was born from the early years of Fabbri’s life: it is the founder himself, Gennaro Fabbri, who commissioned to a ceramist the famous white and blue vase that became a company icon. A bond, the one with art, which is renewed in the ’60s, the era of Carosello, with a “Painter a week”, a series of advertising films in which emerging artists, including a very young Guttuso, are resumed with the intention of creating their works.
A tradition of patronage that is renewed over time, taking on modern connotations.
Nineteen artists competing for the sixth edition of the Prize, entirely dedicated to photography and curated by Nino Migliori, have interpreted and narrated the history, tradition and symbology of the company known worldwide for the famous Amarena Fabbri, thus celebrating each his way, the 13 years and a century of a sweet Italian myth.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration between “Fabbri 1905” and Polo Museale Emilia Romagna – Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna.
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9.00am – 7.00pm. Closed Monday.
