For the occasion we mention some that will always remain in history, not only in Bologna.
Pittrices, activists, actresses, there are many women in the Bologna scene who have distinguished themselves over the years:
Irma Bandiera, Italian partisan, Gold Medal for military valor, is remembered in the Shrine of Piazza Nettuno and in the Monument to the Partisan Falls in Villa Spada.
Giulietta Masina, originally from San Giorgio di Piano, was an Italian film actress who in 1942 met at the EIAR Federico Fellini, with whom she married on 30 October of the following year.
Elisabetta Sirani, from Bologna, was a baroque painter. Ever since she was a child, she immediately showed talent and mastery by making some portraits already at the age of seventeen. He started his business producing small paintings commissioned for private devotion and today his works are spread all over the world, including in Naples, Bologna, Venice, Warsaw, Washington.
Mariele Ventre, choir director and founder of the Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano of Bologna, who directed for more than thirty years until her death on December 16, 1995, at the age of 56, due to a breast cancer, twenty days after his participation, as always, at the 38th edition of the Zecchino d’Oro. Later the direction of the Piccolo Coro was entrusted to his pupil Sabrina Simoni. Mariele Ventre is buried in the monumental Cemetery of the Certosa di Bologna.
