From Thursday 13 October 2022 the Museo del Patrimonio Industriale will host the exhibition: A ciascuno il suo giorno, works by Marco Angelini inspired by the Bolognese company Longo.
The exhibition recounts the legacy of Longo S.p.A., one of the most significant industrial companies in Italy during the economic boom years and active until the 1970s.
The exhibition, organised by Ascanio Balbo di Vinadio, collector and grandson of Giorgio Longo, (Treviso, 3 July 1909 - Bologna, 30 May 1973), the last chairman of Longo S.p.A., is developed in a dual register, artistic and historical at the same time, since it presents on the one hand the series of paintings specially created for the exhibition by Marco Angelini and on the other hand the photos and period documents, taking an unprecedented path through the history of the factory, which for decades produced and distributed stationery, inks and office supplies in Italy. Thus, works are exhibited that reread the history and philosophy of the Longo S.p.A. company, giving it a personal interpretation with the use of the stationery factory's original products within the works.
On show are 14 canvases of different sizes, in mixed technique, using original stationery products from Longo S.p.A., created between the 1930s and 1970s, in which the artist ideally retraces its history and philosophy.
The exhibition can be visited during the Museum's opening hours with payment of the entrance fee.
