A new temporary exhibition enriches the permanent exhibition itinerary of the MUV, which exposes to the public both findings of excellence coming from the excavations of Marano di Castenaso, including the famous Stele of the seventh century swords. a.C., is the reconstruction of a Villanovan hut in real dimensions and fully furnished, which stands out in the garden of the Museum.
The exhibition Objects from everyday life: one day inside a Villanovan village it represents for the visitor a journey through time up to the first Italian Iron Age and is an ideal addition to a guided tour of the Villanovan hut.
On display tools and tools related to women's activities par excellence, such as spinning, weaving, preparation, preservation and cooking of food, both to practices typical of the male gender, such as agriculture, breeding, hunting and fishing. It is an important occasion to host the MUV a rich selection of materials that have emerged from excavations inhabited areas, usually not very exposed in museums, coming from the Etruria region of Padua and beyond, so as to allow comparison with the contemporary civilizations of central Italy. -meridionale.
The tour is focused on some large finds placed on a platform in the middle of the room: three doli, or three large ceramic vases of spherical shape, used to store food supplies such as cereals and toasted and dried legumes, and a ring of terracotta pertaining to a well's shirt. Around these large objects, positioned in the middle of the room and outside the windows, there are the display cases with tools and tools related to the typical activities of a day in a Villanovan village.
The exhibition, which will remain open until 9 June 2019, enriches and qualifies the museum tour of the MUV, favoring from a didactic point of view the knowledge of uses and customs of this remote cultural aspect of the first Italy, typical of the Bologna area and not only . Alongside the exhibition and the usual educational activities will be the themed guided tours for groups of adults, and the workshop paths aimed at schools, centered on the hut, on the Villanoviani in general and on the issues addressed in the exhibition, including specific insights on domestic activities.
