The Municipal Archaeological Museum of Bologna's Museums Sector is taking part in the European Archaeology Days taking place from 16 to 18 June 2023.
The initiative, coordinated and promoted by the French National Institute of Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP - Institut national de recherches archeologiques préventives), since 2019 has opened its doors to the international community by inviting cultural venues to organise activities aimed at promoting the archaeological heritage and raising awareness of the work of the archaeologist.
In line with the spirit of the event, animated by the desire to maintain a lively dialogue with the public through cultural events and initiatives of a popular and didactic nature that highlight ongoing archaeological projects and activities, the Bologna Civic Archaeological Museum presents two events on Friday 16 June: Bononia racconta, the online publication of a new scenario dedicated to the museum's Roman Lapidary on the portal "Storia e Memoria di Bologna" (History and Memory of Bologna) and from 10 a.m. 30 Cantiere aperto: quando le scienze incontrano la storia (Open building site: when science meets history), a meeting with bioarchaeology researcher Giulia Riccomi as part of an open building site analysis of Etruscan skeletons from the Certosa burial ground.
