The Incontri in Biblioteca (Meetings in the Library) series promotes book presentations, exhibitions and international shows. The meetings are hosted in the Zeri Library and are conceived as opportunities for discussion between authors, curators and scholars on topics related to art history and heritage conservation.
On Thursday 14 March, 5.30 p.m., the Fondazione Federico Zeri presents two volumes dedicated to Guido Reni (Bologna 1575-1642) and his relationship with literati, poets and the art critics of his time.
An undisputed protagonist of European Baroque art and with an early fame among his contemporaries, Guido Reni attracted men of letters to his atelier, with whom he established relationships of friendship, patronage and service, weaving a rich and complex web of relations that reveals previously unpublished aspects of his artistic production.
Free event.
