Every Thursday at Grand Tour Italia will be dedicated to literature and culture, with meetings with important authors taking place from 7 p.m. onwards.
It starts on 12 and 19 September with two lectures on philosophy held by Matteo Saudino, aka BarbaSophia, a well-known professor, writer and Youtuber.
With topics ranging from Socrates and Aristotle to Kant and Hegel, from ancient to modern philosophy, Saudino, famous for his YouTube channel with over 47 million views, will once again make philosophy accessible and engaging for everyone and above all teach us how to make it a tool to be used in our, contemporary, daily lives.
Here is the programme of the meetings:
- 12 September: ‘From master to pupils: Socrates, Plato and Aristotle’.
A journey through the thought of the great masters of classical philosophy, with a focus on the legacy of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle.
- 19 September: ‘Kant's optimism and Hegel's idealism’.
A lecture dedicated to the revolutionary ideas of Kant and Hegel, and their vision of the world and the human being.
Following this, on Thursday 26 September, again at 7 p.m., Grand Tour Italia will host the writer Chiara Gamberale for the presentation of her new book Dimmi di te, published by Einaudi.
In this new novel, Gamberale tackles the theme of growth and personal challenges, telling the story of Chiara, a woman who finds herself confronted with the unfulfilled expectations of her life and the dreams of the past.
All meetings are free admission.
