Saturday 12 October 2019 the MAMbo - Museum of Modern Art of Bologna adheres to the 15th Contemporary Art Day promoted by AMACI - Association of Contemporary Art Museums.
Free admission to permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, free access mediation activities, an Eva Marisaldi exhibition spread throughout the national territory and a FontanaMIX Ensemble concert at MAMbo, an intervention by Bertozzi & Casoni at the Morandi Museum, the free access to Casa Morandi and the distribution of the printed reproduction of the work Memorandum by Lamberto Pignotti at the Ustica Museum of Memory are the events that will animate the offices of the Modern and Contemporary Art Area of the Bologna Museums Institution on the day dedicated to the promotion of Italian contemporary art.
Eva Marisaldi was born in 1966 in Bologna, where she lives and works. His works - created with a very broad expressive vocabulary, from photographs to performances, from videos to animations, from installations to actions to the use of more traditional techniques such as drawing and embroidery - are characterized by a delicate narrative vein that, inspired by reality, it focuses on the most hidden, hermetic and enigmatic aspects of everyday life, analyzed through a poetic compositional lyricism made up of small gestures of ordinary life and a playful process that enters the sphere of imagination and imagination.
Beyond the MAMbo, the Morandi Museum also open their spaces for free to the public from 10.00 to 18.30. Casa Morandi can be visited from 2.00pm to 4.00pm, as always with free admission but without the usual reservation requirement. In addition to the permanent collections, the temporary exhibitions promoted by the Modern and Contemporary Art Area of the Bologna Museums Institution can also be visited without entry fees.
Finally, at the Ustica Memorial Museum, where the permanent installation is visible.
