From 23 February to 11 June 2023, Casa Saraceni will host the exhibition curated by Angelo Mazza, with the collaboration of Benedetta Basevi and Mirko Nottoli, “Arte al Femminile” – Women artists in Bologna in the 20th century, from the Foundation’s Art and History Collections. Exhibitions on women artists have been fashionable for years. But for the most part they insist on some excellent figures that critics have long since rediscovered, both from ancient times and those closer to us. Never have almost sixty works belonging to more than twenty women painters active in Bologna during the 20th century been brought together as on this occasion, artists who contributed significantly to the development of art in Emilia and to the vitality of the Academies.
