The Museum of Industrial Heritage of Bologna adds a new exhibition to the Bolognese motorbikes theme, which has been one of the main focuses of its research activities: on Sunday 26 November (starting at 1 p.m.) the exhibition Anthology of Bolognese motorbikes, 1920-1970 will be open to the public.
The new thematic focus is part of the museum’s exhibition itinerary and will remain open until 28 May 2023.
The exhibition retraces fifty years of Bolognese motorbike production that has distinguished itself, right from its beginnings, for the inventiveness and skills of numerous technicians who have ventured, with varying degrees of success, into the realisation of vehicles that have always been very well cared for, not only from a construction point of view, but also aesthetically, imposing themselves at the highest levels, with the competition versions, both nationally and abroad.
The exhibition itinerary of Anthology of Bolognese Motorcycles, 1920-1970 presents 32 motorbikes made by the most important brands of the fifty-year period and is enriched by a series of multimedia materials: seven filmed contributions from the Istituto Luce, the entire series of motorbikes exhibited in previous exhibitions and the film, produced by the museum, Italians on Motorcycles, based on the Istituto Luce newsreels (1930-1940).
